Is there a question here? There are multiple reasons someone might or might not want to make the change, so I guess it depends on your reason.

Can it be done, yes.
Are you thinking of going from a 21" wheel to a 19"?

I have heard a lot of good things about mag wheels such as durability and less maintenance. Actually right now seriously contemplating changing the front 21" laced skinny wheel and tire to 18" or 19" mag wheel. There are a lot of good deals on eBay if you want to look around.

I was looking to replace the laced wheel to a Mag wheel to get away from the tube vs steel belted tire to a 19" wheel most web sites including ebay say research fitment for Your specifc model.

I'm planning on swapping the 19" cast on my 883 with the 1200C's 21" spoked. The wheel and bearing numbers are the same, so it should be a simple swap. The 883 is more nimble, but that might be more to do with the mid pegs on it and/or the rigid mount motor. Still, I'm not going to keep the 883, and I'd rather have all cast wheels on the 1200. If the front wheel swap works out ok, I'll swap the rears to get matching wheels on the 1200; I always thought it looked weird having a spoke on front and cast on rear anyway (both have cast rears, but different styles). If it doesn't work, won't surprise me, I've found little interchangeability between Harley years or models so far. Sometimes it's just enough difference to barely not fit. Surely they didn't plan that...

You can check part numbers for different years here -

Unfortunately, the spacer part numbers are different for spoke and cast wheels on yours, might need to get those with another wheel, too, unless the different numbers are actually the same size (I've run into that). Since I'm swapping wheels between two bikes, I can swap those parts, too. Hopefully the disks will line up...

If one of the reasons you want to go to a 19" is because the skinny 21" likes to follow road irregularities, that's the tire, not the wheel. Mine was terrible about that, but when I put an Avon Cobra on it, it tracks as good as any wheel I've ridden on, don't even notice tar snakes.

Thanks ImOld & kingxirol ebay shows promise but they all say check or research fit cause they're as is where is sales & fit 3/4 axles? I definitely like the 19inch mags that will match the rear mag I have now almost perfect.
