Default What Glue To Use for Grips

I have the Kuryakn grips but didn't glue them because, I wanted to make sure it is the grip I wanted, well maybe too much time has passed and now the glue has went bad. Is there an alternative to use that I can find local, like Home Depot or Pep Boys?

What do you need glue for, if they've been fine for "too much" time?

The left grip can twist at times.

Hairspray. It works very well with grips that need an adhesive. Used that on my crotch rockets for years with no problems. Just let it dry well, minimum overnight to a day.

I just put the same grips on my bike and the glue that came with it had a super glue smell once it was open... I marked the grip to the bar where I wanted it because you only have about 3 seconds to have it in place.

Use hair spray. It will provide a lube to slip them on. Then let the bike sit in a dry hot place for 24 hours and it will cure and grips will stick.

griplock, i swear by it. i used it on my grips, and all my pegs (hd cushion pegs have rubber that will shift at the wrong times, grip lock stopped that). your dealer probably has it in stock
  • pull the left grip,
  • clean up the the surface of the bar,
  • scuff it with sand paper if you want to,
  • clean out the grip itself (forum knowledge here, never had to do this),
  • once dry, use GRIPLOCK in lines on the bar,
  • slide on the grip,
  • let it set.

surprise grip movement is not ok. i would not trust my life to hair spray
