These guys rode across the US in 30 days sponsored by Honda... Never published how many bike changes were required.

I am only 5'8" so size on bike is not an issue. But other tall people I know are able to wrestle the bike around better when 'body english' is required.

1. lowbrow customs Tsumani fender is nice, I put that on my bike; be aware you will need to cut the frame struts off if you go with a chopped fender. The cheap way to do it, is just cut your existing fender and move it forward, but its kinda tedious.

2. the HD one is nice, kinda pricey new. Other ones may offer different spring rates. When I had mine installed (its for sale now!!!) it didnt do much for me, as I only weigh 160.

3. not sure; sorry

Showerfan, when you are riding the bike, you look big and the bike look small. You must be a big man. If you bike look small, I think is bad idea modify the bike to bobber with cut fenders and other modifications, because the bike will look tiny.
You can do the tank lift modification, hidden wires and remove plastic box wires, with this modification, the bike will look more big. With your size, I will add an ape hanger, or if you can use the original handlebar ,you can install a risers with a 1" or 2" more.
