Default Fat Bob Or Not ?

Can any of you guys, maybe with more than one bike give me any advice. I had a Sporty Iron as my first Harley last year, but honestly living here in the UK where at least 50% of my riding is done on tight twisty country lanes i found it underpowered, crappy brakes and not a particularly great handling bike ( But still loved riding it ), and not really the right bike for a sunday morning blast so after 8 months i traded back to a KTM 950smr with the intention of getting a Fat Bob as a second bike, but work has taken a serious downturn so i can only stick with one bike....Here,s my dilemma, the KTM is a superb piece of kit, handles amazingly and is the easiest bike in the world to ride seriously hard and fast at all times, and i know im gonna lose my licence at best, or end up in a hospital bed or worse !..Im 46 and have been riding 30 years and i know i need to slow down some, and i want a Fat Bob sooo bad...Do i offload the KTM for the FB, and will i end up with a happy compromise....Please dont think im a Hooligan who thinks buying a Harley is just for slowing down, ive loved Harleys for a long time, and im gradually riding more on my own because the guys i ride with all ride Supermotos and the riding is becoming so fast its becoming a real worry for a fella like me who wants to enjoy my riding again.....

Only you will know if it feels right, but for me my FatBob is my favorite HD. I have had 3. Started out with a Sportster, then graduated to a Springer BadBoy Softail. After losing that, after a few years, I got the itch again and bought the FatBob. Most comfortable and fun bike for me, and the fat tires make rideability so much better. And the ability to change it around is just that much better. Hope it all works out for you.

The word is that the FB is the best handleing harley of the current lieup. That said I never had such a big bike that leans into corners and doesn't get off balance, with the torque, the HP,and the superb balancing you probably couldn't make a better call than an FB you will love it IMO. Ive had mine almost 4 years and just recently upgraded it to 103" stage 2. I couldn't love any object more!

yeah, get the fatbob... check out member 'centerline' and his fatbob... his bike even shows the style of the bike looks even better with taller rear shocks, built for handling and speed...

the fatbob i rode didnt impress me a bit. it had factory bars(short drag bars) and forward controls(made me feel like a knife 1/4 way opened)....i rode for around 10 miles and my back was starting to hurt(from being folded in half)... my 99 evo softale rides much better... jmo ...i couldnt see myself starting a 100 mile trip on one
