the fatbob i rode didnt impress me a bit. it had factory bars(short drag bars) and forward controls(made me feel like a knife 1/4 way opened)....i rode for around 10 miles and my back was starting to hurt(from being folded in half)... my 99 evo softale rides much better... jmo ...i couldnt see myself starting a 100 mile trip on one
Well I guess not. After seeing the full blown couch you ride in your avatar, I can understand why(or not).
To each their own..........that's what makes the world go round.
If you love Harleys and still want some performance in the twisties it's hard to do better than the Fatbob with mid controls. With some suspension upgrades it will only get better as well.

Thats the way i would like to go, im getting my local Dealer to work out a price for having Mid controls fitted on a new Fat Bob, the guy told me to get ready to drop my pants and bend over because its gonna be painfully expensive....

There's really no need to take it up the....
Mid controls, and even the inner & outter primary cases are not that hard to find.

You are right.. The Primary cases new are hugely expensive so i could look in the Ads for second hand parts , but then my warranty will be void, im in a no win situation
The Fat Bob is the way to go for cruising the twistys. I find forward controls more comfortable for longer rides. I like mids for the city or around town. If you want the full cruiser experience go for forwards. Test ride a few if you have a chance. Good luck and keep us posted.

Also consider the Super Glide Custom. Fine handling, same power as the Fat BOb for yrs 10 and 11, much more livable seating position for those of us who lack 34 inch inseams...
