engine guards
A perfect example as to what I'm talking about. While having any engine guard is better than nothing, on your bike basically the only place to safely and comfortablyrest your feet on your bar is on the pegs. The Linbar, on the other hand, is shaped and builtto provide a foot rest right on top of the bar, and it also provides for attachable extra clamp-on foot pegs to put on the sides of the bar as well, thus offering at least two different foot/leg positions to give the rider different places to adjust his legs and feet and thus relieve cramps and so forth through different alternatives in leg/feet position.
Linby even patented their bars, foreseeing what a great idea they came up with; and not trying to offend anyone, but I think their bars beat all the rest hands down.
BTW, I heard that Harley is already starting to encroach on Linby's design with some of their bars, and I know that others are already making counterfeit Linbars and selling them on ebay.

Frankly, the pegs arent comfortable at all. I hardly use them and dont like the feel of the riding postion when I do. Im going to wait until I change my handle bars .. if the are still uncomfortable I will take them off and use the for rear pegs. ... matter of fact, I use them as a helmut hanger. They work great fer dat.

Hey Zeb, what did you pay for your Lindby bars and where did you get them?

Mine's a (was, most of it's been converted by now) California bike and mine came right from Lindby Customs in California, they're about $350.00 there now or so, but you can surely buy from an indy and get one for less than Lindby sells them direct.
Just type in "Lindby Linbar for Sportster" into Google or just "Linbar for a Sportster" or whatever, and you'll find numerous indies selling them for less than Lindby Customs sells them fordirect.
If you have forward controls, be sure you get one for forward controls. I have forwards controls, and they work just fine with the Linbar.
You won't go wrong with it, and you'll really be able to stretch your long legs out over it really well. I'm about 6', and it works great for me. They really use a very thick grade of tube steel in them, too; they're not some cheap piece of crap.
I just ordered the black engine guard for my 883R which is also black. I won't be putting pegs on them, but I do like the way the bars look on the Sporties in general. I also ordered the Brawler solo seat and will be taking my back pegs off. The idea I have in my head as a theme is for a straight forward raw solo bike.
