2016 Iron883 Exhaust/cut/loud
Hi y'all, my first post here...
I just bought a brand new 2016 Iron883 and decided the lawnmower sounding exhaust has to go. like yesterday.... LOL
SO what I did was cut the tips off the stock mufflers, and took out all the baffles/etc. - and fired it up... sounds really good... and loud, exactly how loud I want it...
but... I dont wish to leave it this way, as I just need to save money for pipes.
I want the Bassani Radial Sweepers, and am hoping to remove baffles and get the torque cones... and hoping that'll do?
So for that plan, and for the way it currently is, just stock straight pipes with no baffles.... am I hurting anything by running it like this for now? I was just worried that it may run too lean and burn it up or something?? I don't THINK so, since it has the stock air cleaner.
Hoping someone can let me know:
1) if it's not gonna hurt the engine to run it like this for a little bit
2) will it be ok with the radial sweepers straight, if I have the torque cones.
thanks in advance for any help!

good job. - "people say loud pipes save lives" is false. ride around on a quiet bike and then on a loud one.... there's a huge, unmistakable difference in how others react to your presence/approach.
lean issues, i can't comment. shoot dk a message and ask:

they respond honestly and quickly

I wrote to them, thank you very much, that link to the inserts is veyr helpful! and I am guessing it'll be just what I need.
Have it your way but in a few years of damaging your hearing from the loud noise and you develop tinnitus and have permanent ringing in your ears you will regret it.
I speak from experience. I have constant ringing in both my ears 24/7. Very loud and never goes away. At least I draw a disability from Uncle Sam for it. It was caused by shooting an M60 machine gun in Vietnam. But loud noise is loud noise. Your ears won't know the difference. I don't believe that machine gun was as loud as some exhaust I've heard.

I use buds, was forced to use plugs on my first long trip (pain from wind) and now refuse to get on my bikes without something in my ears.
The epa wants quiet, quiet gets you cut off in traffic by women texting, putting on make up, and driving at yhe same time.
