Loose baffle in SEII slip ons

Default Loose baffle in SEII slip ons
My new to me '01 1200C has Screamin' Eagle II slip-on mufflers. The baffle is loose in one of them and rattles, particularly during deceleration. The screw that I thought held in the baffle no longer tightens, so I assume it is broken. Any suggestions on how I can secure the baffle? I do not want to remove the baffles permanently (I have neighbors I like), so that is not one of the options I would do.

pull the bolt out and replace it with a new grade 8 bolt & nut from a hardware store of a similar size. tighten to satisfaction.
