Arrow 48 Riders over 6 feet tall

Hey All,
I was following the forum for some time.
Planning to buy a 48 soon and I am 191cm (6' 3'')

What are your mods for better fit on the bike?
(controls? handlebar? risers? seats? etc.?)

Thanks for the help.
Cheers

Ive seen some huge guys use the mid controls. I am 5'8'' and i prefer the forward controls.

Its a matter of personal preference. What is comfortable to you may not be for another.
I say find some with different options and have a seat or a ride.

I think it depends.
Research the "rider's triangle" on the net.

My first thought is the bending of your knees....higher (more padded) seat may gain an inch and lessen that triangle adding comfort.

Stock forwards are pretty much like mid controls for me.

6' 3" and 07 XL1200c here. Just went from forwards (stock on my bike) to mids. Not enough seat time yet to say for sure if I'm sticking with the mids.

My initial impression is that I feel like I'm "perched" on top of the bike now vs being stretched out with the forwards. I like the instant added control feel, but it's certainly more cramped. Need more time with it (dang rain in FL everyday for a month now) to determine how it feels on longer rides.

I'm 6'2" with two bad knees so I went with the 72 model because I can't ride a mid control bike without pain. I love the look of the 48 but first thing I'd have to do is put on forward controls. I've also gained weight since my last injury. The Sportster 72 still has the power to haul my fat butt down the freeway but I wished I'd gone with the Street Bob now for the extra power & 6 th gear on longer rides.

I happened to see a 48 for sale locally; the price is right but I don't really like forward controls. If I went that way I'd probably have to break down and fit some more familiar mid controls- I'm only 5'6" so I'm very conscious of 'getting it right'.
