Yesterday after a ride of about 60 miles I decided to clean the bike, while doing it I found kinda oil around spark plugs. The bike has 2000km , 1000 miles svc done, it's a 2017 iron 883 .

Maybe the mechanic used a drop of oil on the plug threads when he installed them. Some use anti-seize, NGK says use nothing, others use motor oil, etc. Unless your rocker seals are leaking somewhere, it looks harmless to me. I use a bit of anti-seize on my Ford Ranger (Autolite plugs) and nothing on my Sportster plugs (NGK).

Use a bit of degreaser on a Q tip to clean it up and see if it comes back, as John says it may have been a one time thing from the dealership tech.

 

if i have problems with rocker seals with 2000 km from brand new ........ but **** happens, tomorrow ill call HD service here to see what happens. thanx a lot for your answers buddies!!!!
