Default LED bulb conversion

hello everyone,

im new to this forum. Quick question, I have a 2003 Sportster 883 100th anniversary and I am thinking of converting all the bulbs to LED, will I have an issue with hyper flash like I would in a car without load resistors? Also what is a recommended LED headlight? I like the day makers but I don’t want to pay the HD price tag. Thanks

If you just put bulbs in you’ll have to add a resister so they will blink normal.

Don't just do the bulb conversion for the headlight. It's only nominally better. Get the full LED headlamp/light assembly. Best money you can spend IMO.

Speed Kings and MoonsMC make great LED lights.

Then there's the $50 ebay/Amazon deals. I can't speak to their quality vs the above mentioned.

the imitation daymakers are as god as HD, just without the price tag.
One of the best mods I think you can do on your bike.
Although anything is better than the stock candle.

But Custom Dynamics will be the place for the rest of your needs.
Nut sure if you will have the same issues without the CANBUS that the newer bikes have with rapid flashing on the turn signals

I used a load equalizer on a 2002 softail ,mine is a Badlands version .Also install the RUN,STOP,TURN module. It will make yur blinkers running lamps as well as brake lights. Lights up the rear end pretty good for better visibility. Beats the amp robbing incandescent's and are pretty much vibration proof compared to filament bulbs.

This LED bulb will fit in your existing bucket and make a huge improvement in Seeing & Being Seen!

Here are a couple of photo's showing the comparison-

I know you have a Sporty with only one headlight, but this next pic shows the difference between the stock HD headlight bulb, and the one you can get from us.

I followed the link and looks like my 2016 is a CANBUS bike so does that mean it will display an error code all the time?

A CANBUS system will have no issues with LEDs (headlights and/or turn signals). No need for load equalizers and no error codes.

Your bike will not display an error code. That note that was in there was old info and I've removed it.
