Default New bike, need ideas

Hi, I am a new member and a new harley owner since last night. I picked up a 2013 Sportster Iron 883 and there is so much I want to do with this bike. I want to start by getting new pipes and a cool looking aftermarket air cleaner/intake. My question is, do I have to fine tune anything on my bike to run these parts? Or are there any pipes & intakes I can use that can achieve factory settings? If so, can you guys recommend something to me that are the most affordable? Thanks in advance!

youll need to get either a tuner or some x14ieds which is the budget route. If your new I’d start reading some posts and using the search function. There is a lot of information you can learn that’s already out there.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new-to-you Sporty!

There are a several A/C System options in this LINK.

All of our A/C Systems come with an External Breather System, which keeps that hot, oily air out of your engine. The EBS will make your bike run much better and will increase engine longevity.

Here's a report LINK on EBS explaining in detail the importance of venting externally.

If you upgrade to a free flowing air cleaner and free flowing exhaust, you will need a turner of some kind because your bike will now be running hotter than is good in the long term.

These 3 things combined make a complete Stage I upgrade.

Here's a LINK to a report on Stage I upgrades full of lots of useful information.

Hope this helps! Good luck on making your bike your own!
