Evo sportster 1250 big bore help?
hi guys ,
after a bit of help here a few months back i basically bent my rear exhaust push rod and decided to pull the whole top end down to look what was going on everywhere else s the guy who sold me my 1993 XLh 1200 told me it was a 1310 millennium big bore kit, after taking the top end off i discovered that parts of the rim on the intake sides of the pistons had broken off and that in fact my kit was a millennium 1250.i have ordered new Andrews push rods and cleaned my top end and the bore seems to be fine ,im just having a hard time tracking down a 1250 piston kit for this and am after some help/advice to make sure i get the right ones as i am in Australia and its a long wait if i get the wrong ones .i have only found a couple so far and they dont provide much info on them .as long as i get 1250 pistons will it be ok? does the stroke ever change in later models ?.any advice i can get on finding the right pistons would be great cheers in advance

Not that I really want to be in the business of supporting their kits, but fracturing intake pockets is a classic sign of detonation. I would certainly make sure the bike is being properly tuned to their specs, and also running appropriate fuel and spark plugs. They're the ones to provide all that information.
Good luck.
