I have a 99 softail with a stock Evo. I need to replace my rear cylinder and head, and I want to upgrade and get a big bore kit. Just cylinders, pistons, and heads, no bottom end. Does anyone know a good kit that matches the stock black wrinkle finish?

 

There isn't a big bore kit for the EVO. Unless you want to bore cases for larger bore cylinders. Wiseco IIRC has a 88" kit, pistins and cylinders but again IIRC you would need to bore the cases.

 

We have built many 97" Axtell "Mountain Motor" kits.
Doing one now.

 

I hadn't remember them going that big. Gotta have a longer stroke though. And thats howthe MoCo screwed upthe TC, IMO.
