1989 sportster transmission question

Is there a bearing located in this side or metal to metal? 1989 883 sportster 4 speed right side . Please help thanks

Looks like your race is installed, but the needle bearings are missing.

harley sportster transmission bearing

I thought so myself, so I ordered needle bearings for this. and there is no way I have clearance to install the new bearings.
Anyone got a parts number for the bearings. maybe I have the wrong ones.
