2005 Jiffy Stand frame pin replacement
I rode from Alabama to Ohio last week to help my sister drive back fo Alabama. When I got to her house I put my 2005 1200 XLC up on a utility trailer for the drive back. As I rode up the ramp the frame pin that the jiffy stand hooks to hit the trailer hinge and broke off. I didn't know it broke off and thought the spring got caught and came unhooked. Did this ever happen to anyone here? Can this be fixed with a simple weld of a metal with a recessed area? I would appreciate your recommendations. I am the original owner of this bike and don't trailer it. I finally had time to compare the bike to the service manual and realized what i had done this evening . You can see the pin in the Harley 2005 service manual diagram inside the frame near the crossbar between the two number 2s
Thank you.

Not sure if you mean the actual pin broke or the frame welded side stand mount broke.
If mount, yes can be rewelded...I think that is the only long term repair option.
If the pin..just get new parts and ensure the cotter pin is installed as the parts diagram.
Another co-member may advise better as to welding techniques or my mis-understanding of you question.
PS There is a trick installing coins between the spring coils to ease installation onto the stand and frame spring mounts.

I would also think that to hit that part that hard to break the weld might also have damaged the frame a little.
On my bike the part that is lowest to the ground is the bit that the spring locates in. I have hit that twice now on sleeping policeman.

The part that broke off was, for lack of a better word, is the tip of the pencil diameter sized place the spring hooks to pin the frame. One end of the spring hooks to the Jiffystand and the end facing the front of the bike hooked in the recessed area of the pin. It is like the bottom 1/4 inch of that piece of metal snapped off.
