Just been running with the new Hammer Smash 1275 and the 560 cams on the supermegs 2-1.... installed and dyno'd by Ken -
new 30 degree reverse in the 1275-
little peek at the hammer head cnc job to match-
test fit on the new exhaust-
and now
The ducati panagale v4's in my neighborhood are very afraid---------!?!?!?!?
lol.... just all smiles no matter what gear I'm in-
Thanks Hammer!- Thanks Ken!
Didn't break the century mark but not too worried about squeezing the last bit out of the top end as she definitely has enough pull for me to learn to handle at this stage. I did want to get the db level down and keep the power which is one of the reasons I went with the trapp.... she's at 20 discs closed end... 92db from 3 meters idle (but honestly don't know the proper way to check the db level yet or what will give me the thumbs up to ride at Palmer.)
Good numbers man. I still have yet to dyno my 1275 build. Mines similar, 1275, 560 cams, 10.5:1 reverse dome pistons, and their impact 7mm head port job. I’m hoping to get similar numbers but I’m not running a 2-1 exhaust yet. Gonna wait until I find a 2-1 pipe I like before getting her dyno’d.
Enjoy that beast, I know I’m loving mine. It’s like night and day from the 883 😄
Grats to you too Bryan. I know the 560 match is considered a mild performance build, but yes it sure is nice to feel knocked back into the seat from start to I better slow down now. I had the hardest time picking my pipe too...needed the bend around the timer cover for the foot control clearance, wanted to keep my 2 up pegs, something long and established to pulling power, and as quiet as I could get it. (also wanted something that maximized lean angle....no pipe is perfect) S&S has a new pipe out that you can even get to pass C.A.R.B for the California folks. I wanted to see how that made out on the dyno, but for me the real reason on the Dyno is to make sure everything you've got working together is working the best it can together and help that mild performance build maintain the longevity it is also known for.
I am a little surprised how low the torque numbers are on these builds, but the flat curve of it probably makes up for it. No torque or hp drop off all the way to 7500. Thats pretty impressive.
