Default Handlebar Weights?

Can't get any replies in the tech forum so I'll try here. I'm looking for some handlebar end weights to help dampen vibration. I saw some online but they extend through the end of your existing handgrips and I don't think I can make that work without destroying my Kuryakyn Iso Grips which are solid on the end. I also don't want anything permanent like the liquid barsnake. Has anyone heard of anything that is entirely internal to the handlebar ends that a non-gearhead like me could try? Even willing to try some type of home made remedy if it really works.

Roll of coins in each end, wrap em in tape and a dab of silicone to keep em put.

OK - have you actually done this or just heard about it? How long of a roll in each bar? If not pleased with the results can you get them out after using the silicone? Any rattling or noise? Thanks for the help!

Try http://www.barsnake.com/ I don't know anyone who has used them. If you do maybe you can let us all know. I put riser bushing above and below the triple tree, helped some, but certainly not a cure.

Have not done it on this bike since my apes don't vibrate much when riding. I did it on a bike years ago and it worked fine, think I used a roll of dimes since I had 7/8" bars on the Suzuki I had. With 1" bars a $5 roll of nickels in each side should do it. Just use the coin wrapper then tape it up good so that its a snug fit and can still be removed and just a tab of silicone at the end. Another cheap source would be some galvanized pipe taped up and slid in the ends. I may still do mine sometime but like I said mine really don't vibe much at all unlike my stock bars did. If you run your wires internal like I did that limits anything like those barsnakes. Remember not to use much silicone or have so much tape on the roll that its too snug or it won't come out. I thought about those riser bushingsonce but thought with my taller bars that even the poly ones would cause flex so my risers are rigid mounted to the trees just like the stock ones were.
