Default Wrinkle finish VHT engine…

This is tricky stuff to work with…
I had to strip and redo the side covers after I tried to paint them on the engine which resulted in some massive runs…but they turned out better the second time around.

Very nice and unique! I've used wrinkle paint on on a few parts, it looks good. Also, hammered finish worked great on my fork sliders.

Well done.

Good job! It looks nice.

Whats involved with this process versus regular paint?

One of the "tricks" to wrinkle paint is very thin coats

I've never heard of clear coating a wrinkle finish

No clear coat. So far it seems to be a semi gloss but I was hoping for a matte finish anyway.

The instructions said to do three heavy coats letting it sit 5 minutes in between coats. I noticed a few spots where I didn’t get it quite thick enough and the wrinkle doesn’t stand out as much.

It looked a lit shinier than what I would expect.

It looks great, BTW!
