Default Electrics died but came back....

So the bike cut out (naturally) when I put the kick stand down in gear. I then went to start it again and it turned over once then all electrics died, just went blank, In the end I took out the main fuse and reinstalled it and everything worked again.... Any ideas?

Sounds like a safety device did not re-set til the main fuse was pulled?

Does your year or country have a kick stand interlock that could be getting flaky?

2009, seems ok. I mean I turned the bike on and off at the if ignition several times and taking key out and in but everything was just dead until I reset the fuse.

My US 2015 FLH does not have a kick stand interlock. But I though new ones did. Glad they don't I have had to ride it off kickstand a couple times.

Have the battery load tested, remove, clean and reinstall all battery cable connections.

If all the electrics includes the lights so when you removed the main fuse and put it back they came back on does that not suggest that as a starting point?

A thorough inspection of the fuse box. Clean all fuses, relays and sockets.

Get battery tested as suggested above before trying to start the bike again.
