Default Wind Noise

Hello everyone.
What do you recommend for the best wind protection and reduced helmet buffeting and wind noise on a 2003 Sporty.
I also have a 2011 Electra Glide Ultra Limited and have fine-tuned it over the last year to suit me in the wind. Of course, I know I will never get that kind of protection on the Sportster, just looking for the best of the best for it.
Thanks, and go for a ride. You will feel better!

I use these:

Amazon Amazon

And have this on my 2003 Sportster XL1200S:

Amazon Amazon

Wind screen is small but keeps the wind/buffeting off my chest.

You have some options for your Sporty. As mentioned, wearing plugs will reduce wind noise. I wear these for hearing protection, especially on the long rides. It easily fits under a FF helmet and comes with different noise filters.

On the wind, windshields are a good idea, depending on the style you're looking for. It's not very fun riding in hurricane-force winds for a long time. It's a bit pricey, but Harley has a quick release 18" windshield for your 2003. Comes with the shield and quick release bracket. Different aftermarkets carry different size windshields for it if you want to change sizes. I have this for my 2011 XL1200C.

If you want a detachable batwing for the Sporty, you can get them. Memphis Shades carries them here, but you'll have to buy the windshield and mounting bracket. They also carry windshields for your Sporty. Other makers, like, Reckless Fairings and Dead Center Cycles carry them.

I love my helmet. Love it! But it is insanely loud. I use motorcycle ear plus which allow you to hear still. They pretty much eliminate the wind noise. The ones I use are called vibes. They work great.

I have a clip on screen that came with the bike, it’s cool probably a HD part. Never used it, full face Shoei works for me.

Need a CHP sticker….

I've got the "smaller" HD quick detach windshield, but I hardly ever use it.
Here's an extremely old (circa 2014) pic of it...

Like others already said, a windshield and some earplugs will eliminate most of the noise.

Thanks for all the suggestions.
I do use earplugs, and I have the detachable HD brand windshield. I used the windshield one time, and my helmet bounced around like an NBA player dribbling a basketball. I should have said that I'm looking for more wind protection and smooth airflow. I may cut the windshield down as I have experimented on my Electra Glide and that is critical item, depending on how tall you are.
Has anyone found that the headlight type fairing or any fairing reduces buffeting and provides much wind protection?

Thanks for everyone's input.

CoolBreeze, I like the looks of that windscreen. What brand or do you have a link?
Thanks,
