i took my nightster in for service yesterday they cant diagonosis the problem because i have non harley exhaust, and a power commander? do they think im that stupid i had them check for the fuel pressure problem they said it was fine. it coughing thru the intake at idle and sometimes dies completely any ideas. they tried to tell me my power commander is gonna void my warranty. i was having this problem since day one with this bike im gonna install all the stock parts and take it so they can try to fix it cause they admit theres a problem, im really getting tired of their service dept! and im gonnna call the motor company tommorow

theres no good indys in your town? I would find one before I changed partsback and caved to the dealer.

Good luck contacting Harley in general. I tried that route and they told me that all the motorcycle dealers are there own independant franchise, and they had no authority over thier undertakings. So I told them that they have dealers out there making Harley-Davidson look like a bunch of *** holes, and all they did was appologize to me. So you need to go straight to the store manager/owner and tell them what you think of their service department. I know it sucks.

anyone else have a problem like this that wasnt the fuel pressure regulator?? im still wondering if mine is bad or its weak sometimes and not others?

mine was the pressure regulator...took 3 weeks to get the part in?? my dealer sucks

The only time a dealer does not suck is when they have the bike you want, and the day you take delivery...
