Default Brake Light Won't Work

My brake light only by the hand brake won't come on. Using the foot brake, I have brake lights.

Any Suggestions??

What year and type bike? Older models, 1985 for instance, hand brake does not illuminate rear light. Need more information.

bad brake light switch; replace it. you can check it with a trouble light probe.

Either Bad Front Brake light switch or not making contact with the same with brake grip...

Have you had you controls off the bars ??
If so you may have damaged or broken the little t-piece on the end of the switch
(very easily done if not careful) that makes contact with the hand brake lever.
The switch is in the control block next to the mirror mount

Make sure you hold the brake lever IN when you put it back on or you might damage the end of the switch.
