Default Brake light not working

Hey guys

My brake light doesn't work for the rear brake, works fine with the front one. Do you think it's a fuse or something bigger?

Likely the brake light switch. The design goes back to the 40's. Check it with an ohm meter to be sure..

Just replaced mine on my 07.

Mine went out a while back but it was still under warranty so the dealer got to replace it. There was also a recall on some models for that switch but I don't remember which ones. I know the Heritage wasn't one of them.

It is not a fuse. Disconnect the wires from the sending unit and touch them together, see if the brake lamp illuminates.

If it does, replace the sending unit.
