I really can't imagine a steering head bearing failing on an 06 under warranty. How many miles on the bike? Have the bearings been lubed as called for under the normal service schedule?

42,000 kms(25,000 miles) lubed schedule. The service dept. say's the steering head is tight. They just replaced front wheel bearings and I'm picking up my 3rd drive belt.I need to find a home for some bad gremlins.[:@]

That will be covered under warrenty. I have not had a problem with steering bearing, but they did replace my rear axle because it was not greased propery from the factory(warrenty). I have 10,000 miles. I cant beleive you broke 3 belts. I am still on my first one, but I thought the carbon fiber belts were good for 50,000 miles+.

I've been told that 100,000kms(60,000 m) is common for a belt.My rear pulley has a lot of scoring on the teeth. The same marks are on the belt.It looks like the belt was too tight, just had a new tire installed in November.I'm taking the pulley to the dealer today, see if the warrant covers replacement.

If the pulley was too tight after the tire install that will snap a belt. cHarley knows all about that.

I also can't imagine that the stearing bearing would need replacing. I did the lube service on mine just a bit after 25,000 miles, all appeared to be good.

Steering Bearings, Wheel bearings & belts Oh MY!

Something is not right in Kansas Toto.

"The steering head is tight." Would you find out how they are determining this?
I did 85000 miles before the head bearings were too loose & no ammount of grease would keep the fork tight. I'm still on the original wheel bearings, it sounds like the stealership is gonna loose a customer if they don't stop the gremlins.
