I would replace the gaskets and clamps that are necessay when changing them out.

 

Iremoved mine on the 07 1200 custom without removing the entire exhaust as well just did it tonite. all i can say is wow much louder than I expected, the gaskets were only like 6 bucks

 

I hear ya, it's thegreatest feeling the first time you fire it up with loud pipes on. Be sure to double check all the fasteners after the first ride and again after about 100 miles just to be sure.

They come with the pipes....

 

The gaskets might or might not come with the pipes. If you get Screamin Eagle slip ons the gaskets will come with the pipes. Most other aftermarket pipes do not come with the gaskets.

Yes, you can get the gaskets and the clamps at the Harley Dealer. Most dealers will always have these in stock.

 

I used some good ol PB Blaster, my front pipe was tough to get off when I put on my cycle shacks. Definitely awesome feeling when you fire up with new exhaust tho. Im enjoyin my troublemakers now.
