I was able to get the stockers off pretty easy. I am trying to get the 3.5 dynotuned jackpots on and they just dont wanna go on. They will slip onto the head pipe about a half inch, but even with all the wiggling, twisting, jerking and pushing, they just wont go any further. WTF am I not getting? Help?
Try a little WD-40 and a rubber mallet. Put a mark on the pipe at the desired depth so you know when you get there. When I removed the Jackpots they were tough getting them off. In fact they would not come off until I sprayed them with WD-40. Then they slid right off. Any type of penetrating oil/lubricant should help.
If that doesn't do it you might need a pipe expander.
And just another caution... This has nothing to do with getting them on the pipe, but be sure you have the left and rights in the correct position. The L & R Jackpots are internally different.

The advice you have been given is correct. I do recommend that you use some silver antisieze compound on your header before you install these muffs. You can get this stuff at the auto parts stores.
You might get away with the stock clamps, but you should be using new clamps for the best and tightest fit.
Got it. Couldnt get the right side on. That ws the side i started with. So, after i got frustrated and posted this i went back out and tried the left side. It slid on easy. So started looking for differences. Found a big ol burr on the right side head pipe that i couldnt see since i left the heat shields on. Filed that down, sprayed a little WD40 on my finger and wiped it on the inside of muffler, and with a little wiggling it went right on.

Good! I'm glad you got it figured out. I knew the mufflers were in perfect condition but I was a little concerned - I was hoping you weren't thinking "that SOB sold me a POS" LOL.
So... Now the question is - how do you like the sound?
I loved the way they sounded at idle and easy cruising. But they were just a little too loud for me under hard acceleration/deceleration. Just a personal thing. They're definitely not obnoxiously loud.
I havent got to take em for a ride yet, i probably will after the Texans game, but at idle and just revvin it a little in garage, im happy with the sound. Much better than stock. Now i think it sounds like a harley should, when before it sounded like a gold wing.
