Default Fuel Injected 883 to 1200 Conversion?

Has anyone done the 1200 conversion on their fuel injected Sportster? If so, what is involved with the fuel injection? Upload a different calibration? Replace the computer? Replace any injectors, fuel pump, regulator, etc.? Just curious if anyone has already gone through this process and could give me some pointers. Thanks.

I have not done it, but essentially all you need to do is remap the FI. Most likely the dealership will sell you a SERT that has a few canned maps.

You also need different injectors, from what I've heard. Everything you need should come in a kit. Unless you're piecing it together...then I'd just get a list of what DOES come with the kit and do the shoppin on your own. Hell, it might even save you some money.

Who offers a "kit"? If the bike wasn't fuel injected I was just going to buy the 1200cc pistons and cylinders, the 1200 cams, and re-jet the carb. Where would I look for a 1200 conversion kit for the fuel injected bikes? Thanks for any info.

Ahhhh, start with your HD dealer. Ask what all comes in the kit.

Harley offers the kit. Comes with 1200 heads, pistons, cylinders, a SE Stage 1 A/C, and a stronger clutch spring for $1200 retails ($960 from Chicago Harley). Offically, it is made to work with 07+ bikes, but it can be made to work on the carbbed bikes with different intake flanges.
