I've been looking at getting one since it's still cold riding in to work in the morning. For now I've just been wearing my full face but it kinda sucks wearing the full face when I get out of work since it's usually a lot warmer. Just looking for some feedback whether the neoprene masks would cut down the cold enough or not.

Scream 3 mask? Tough rider can ride in the cold without it, I have a 3/4 helmet so I am ok.

................................andit doesn't mess up the fit on your helmet....might as well just pack one w/ ya on your HD....

Well....tough or not, when you're riding 50mph in 37 degree weather you're going to get cold. I'd rather be a sissy about it and be warm.

 

definitely worth it. I have a skull neoprene mask that looks cool and keeps me warm. I rode to work one morning with it around 30 degrees and after I got to work and took the mask OFF, my face SERIOUSLY got colder! Only thing I don't like is that at stops your glasses fog up, but as soon as you take off they clear up. I love that thing though, it's one of my best biker related investments. And all that comfort for like 12 bucks?! Worth it.

 

I replied this way because one time a buddy loaned me one of those neoprene masks when all I had for transportation was a bike. It was around 27* on the morning I used it and by the time I got to work (20 minute ride), my head was a sweat ball. I now use a wool-blend bellaclava when it's really cold, and that works for me with no sweat.

 

I think they are worth it. The only thing I didn't like about it was the way it felt on my skin, butyou might feel differently. I went with that "Turtle Fur" stuff. Feels really good and covers your ears also. The top part is really thin, so it fits under your helmut.
