It's not my scoot, and it wasn't a rattlecan, but it was Rustoleum Professional and about $10 worth of paint shot with a $10 HF paint gun:

Dr. Hess that tub turned out great and 2kanzam I love the contrast of the two blacks.&nbsp\\; I may try mine when winter hits but I know black is a hard color to spray if there are any imperfections.&nbsp\\; Perhaps powder coat?

you can powder coat your tins, i do them alot lately... but for rattle can painting the key is to take your time... I have done about 4 bikes in rattle can.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; 400 grit get it smooth, then fillin any bumps and bruises wiht bondo... prime, sand 1200, prime, sand 1200, lay 3 coats of paint, (start your spray off and the spay off so you dont get spatter marks) after 3 coats, wet sand 200, 3 more, wetsand 2000, 3 more wetsand, 1 light coat... clear 2 coats sand, 2 coats sand... buff! takes about 3 days to get it done but people used to ask me to shoot thier bikes all the time, paint does not know it is in a can or coming out of a gun.
I could not find many pics but, the rockets front fender, the whole cafe, and the tank all rattle can!

Thanks for the how-to Joe!&nbsp\\; With this info I feel more comfortable trying it out.&nbsp\\; Any recommendations on paint brand?&nbsp\\; There is a local powder coater that doesn't charge much but I really want to do it myself because it just seems more satisfying.
