Default Recall 128?

I was looking through the receipt I got from the last time I too my 07 883C in for service, the clutch cable was leaking. Anyway I noticed that the last page had listed; 94507 RECALL KIT, CODE 128, REG. I am guessing that the 94507 number is a part number but I am not sure. There is no real description of what was done and the service guy didn’t say anything about it. Anyone have any idea what was?

What a meathead. the Service Writer did the right thing by checking your bike for recall's, then doesn't even tell you. That is what people like to hear when taking their bike in for service right? "hey, your bike is ready, and by the way there was a Voluntary Recall concerning your Voltage Regulator. The original could contact the front fender. The recall relocated the Voltage Regulator to prevent this from happening, at no charge to you. Thank you." This recall has a mounting bracket an four bolt with loc-patch and a cable tie. Relocates the rug from contacting front fender. Only a small few were affected. Bad thing is the front fender could get caught on the regulator limiting front fork travel. Real nice.

It nice that they did check but you would think they would say something about what all they did. What I think is odd about that is the regulator recall was a late Dec. 06 recall for the 07 bikes. The bike was sold to the original owner in Sep. or Oct. of 07, that is almost a year after the recall. I bought the bike used from the dealer in Feb. this year and took it in for first service and both times that recall wasn’t checked for or done. I take in this time and they check for it and do it and never say anything about it.

they fixed something that was found to cuase a problem with your steering. chances are good they saved you from a wreck. i wouldnt complain just accept it. they want to keep the recalls quiet so you dont hear too much negatives about harleys.
