Default Forcewinder Problem

I have a 2000 883 sportster that has the 1200 conversion kit. I bought the bike after the conversion kit. I put new pipes on it and I am trying to instl the forcewinder and drag specialties breather kit.

My problem is when I attached the breather and carb bracket... There is a gap between the bracket and the carb (see attachment). I am not sure what I am doing wrong. Neither the breather kit or the forcewinder came with very much instruction. I am sure I ordered the correct AC for my bike.
However, I assumed I had the standard CV Carb but do not know the difference between the CV's and the S&S carbs. Can anyone tell me what is going on? Thanks for the help.

I looked at your pic. Im not sure but it looks like the breather should be in front of the bracket. Im sure someone will give you a more definite answer shortly.

I tried that. There was some interference with the breather outlet and the bracket. I also looked up a picture of a forcewinder already installed and they had the breather then the bracket. I will put some more time into it tonight and see if I can get it to work.

I had A similar problem with an arlen ness big sucker. when i talked to arlen ness they told me i had to insert all 3 gaskets they provided first on was made out of a fiber type material one metal and one more fiber gasket. all the gaskets have to be used in the order. Fiber gasket, Metal gasket, then the las fiber gasket. Did they give you any gaskets?? If not i bet they have a teck support line like arlen ness and it shouldn't cost anything to talk to a tech.

It came with two regular thin fiber gaskets. I assume one for each side of the carb bracket. I will look for some tech support contact information. Thanks for the reply.
