If this has been covered before I apologize i searched but nothing quite answered my question.

First of all I am new here and I just got my Iron 883. I had the dealership put the short shots on it before i picked it up they also put the screamin eagle intake and a power commander in it.

I love the sound of the exhaust. But what if my local PD has different opinions? If I put the quiet baffles in will i have to take it back in to be reprogrammed? I have read quite a bit that says she will run better with the baffles in, is that the case? I have about 23 miles on it right now so the break in isn't even close to being finished. (gotta leave in a few minutes to finish my safety class).

You should be OK changing the baffles and not need any reprograming.

Well, people are right, the baffles might incease performance if anything. However... local law enforcement most likely will not hassle you, as long as you're not pinning the throttle at redlights next to police cruisers. I be the 883 with the ShortShots sounds badass.

 

How much did all those add ons run ya?

 

All of that was a little shy of 1k pipes programmer and air cleaner. Including install.
