Mustang Vintage Solo...Standard vs. Wide?
So I have concluded that I need a new seat and the Mustang sounds like the way to go.
My question is how much of a difference between the Standard vs the Wide Mustang Solo, in terms of comfort?
I'm sure there aren't many out there that have tried both but if there is anyone, please offer your input.
I have read alot of people say that the Wide is just TOO wide and looks funny therefor they bought the standard. Have any of you Standard owners wished you had purchased the wide or vice versa?
Anyone with pics of a Standard and/or Wide on a sporty with a 3.3 tank please post.

It's hard for us Nightster owners to pick/buy a new seat. stock seat isn't comfortable at all but it looks good. the only one I have narrowed my choice down to was the tripper solo. I got about 80% good remarks from people who had it. Now the question is just do I want to drop the coin on something I can't try out first hand. Hopefull someone will be able to help you out that has them or has tried both.
After 5 hrs of riding yesterday I realized that upgraded shocks and forks still don't mean a thing. you got to get a better nightster seat.
Good luck

Mustang will let you try out a seat for a couple of weeks. If you don't like it just send it back.
I have one of each seat on both bikes and they are both comfortable. I do think a Wide Vintage would look too big on a Sportster though.
Unless you plan on doing some serious touring on your bike I would stick with the standard width.

I have the Mustang Wide Vintage Solo with removable back rest on my '08 Nightster. Here are pix with and without the back rest.
Last Sunday completed a 3 1/2 hour ride - and with my new Progresive 412 (12") shocks and WindVest windscreen, it was the best ride yet on my Nighty.
