However if you can find a 99 or older Fat Boy wheel it will bolt right on.

Jag1886 mentioned a 1999 fat boy front mag will bolt on a Sportster. I'm new around here, & I'm looking for someone to agree with Jag1886 before I purchase a wheel used. It was my hope to match it to my rear wheel on a 2003 Sportster. I just don't want to make a mistake in my purchase.

hmmm... I was kicking the same idea around but was scared it would make my sportster look short fat and ugly like them old timers rides. the chicks i fool around with are 25 yrs old an younger and they seem to dig the sportster, VROD and buell bikes the most so gramping out my ride to look short an fat is not an option man. keeping the sleekness is paramount to me because us guys dig shiit chicks don't and I aim everything I do at attracting chicks. I've noticed once chicks get to cougar status they like guy shiit
Very sound engineering advice

Jag mentioned the problem of wheel bearings, which will also affect you, but the other way around. Your 03 hs sealed ball-race wheel bearings, but a 1999 has the older tapered roller bearings. I can't confirm that a FatBoy wheel will fit your bike, but to make life easier, buy a contemporary wheel to your bike, in other words 2000 or later.

There's a guy here in Dayton that has an older Sporty with a Fat boy fork and front wheel on his. I got a close look at it once and the weld job on the head tube looked like crap. No way I would've ridden it, look like one big chop job to me.
