Default Swingarm lenght, pulley distance......

I'm thinking of getting rid of the final chain drive, and reverting to a belt. Could someone please measure the distance, center to center, from front pulley to rear pulley of their 2006-10 Sportster? I am assuming these years are all the same swingarm??
I have found offset belt pulleys to use, but need this measurement to see what belts are available for the stretch I have, or what else I might need to do, such as stretching my swingarm further to match a belt.
Thanks!

I tried to measure mine but the only one I have that year fully assembled also has the front pulley cover on it so I can't get an accurate measurement.

I heard the the belts are something like 1/2" per tooth and if you're ordering per teeth that should get you what you need. You might want to confirm that unit measurement though.

Thanks. I hadn't thought about the covers, since I haven't had one on mine for a few years it just slipped my mind.
I'm actually trying to verify the stretch on my swingarm. I seem to remember it stating a 2" stretch, but just wanted to compare to another bike.
But yea, the cover would make that difficult. Thanks tho!

I have swingarms.

From the center of the front pivot bolt to the center of the adjuster area is 18".

There are calculators to figuring out belt length. Here's a link to one. http://www.roadlessgear.com/html/tec...gth/index.php3

Default belt size...

I know this was posted in September, but was wondering if you did it yet. I too have a 2" stretch on my swingarm, and am using a final drive belt from 2000 and up softails. hope this helps...keep in mind that I have a 2002 sporty, so if yours came stock with a belt, then you can still use that.
