Someone asked me to check the sparkplugs but that wouldn't explain why any of the electrical wont come on. What about fuses? I could of swore I smelled something coming from the coil but maybe I'm just crazy, I dont know. Any advice?

Cant say I'm upset about this, with the bike having low miles and me being a mellow driver but, well, I'm not happy either hah.
It's happened to me countless times. 99% of the time it's your negative terminal. At about 300 miles at a gas stop my bike wont start until I tighten my bttery connections. Nature of the beast..

Been there, tightened that. 10mm wrench, best tool to carry on a solid mount Sportster.

I'm with the others betting on it being a loose battery connection. It helps if you put on a star locking washer on reassembly to keep if from coming loose again. Oh, and actually put a wrench on the dang bolts because I'm tired of people saying "Well, they seemed/looked tight."

Thanks everyone for the input. I started chuckle, the minute I removed that battery cover the alarm lights started going off. I guess what happen was that when I'd tighten the negative cable, I'd then push the battery in but as I'd do that, the cable would loosen. So there you have it, thanks again everyone, glad it wasn't anything major.

No you won't, especially if the car is off while you jump it.

Default Nightster wont start after fuel valve change

Hello, I need some help. I noticed a leak on the quick disconnect fuel valve on my 2007 nighster. All the fuel got out of the tank due to the leak. After I replaced the quick disconnect valve, I filled the tank slowly and checked for the leak which actually stopped. Well after the tank was filled up all the way, I tried to start the bike and it would crank, give me a nice one or two pops then it would just die. After several attempts, letting the bike sit for awhile then trying again the bike would crank once or twice then a click like sound would start. Can someone help me please.

At this point, due to the continued cranking, your battery is dead. You need to recharge it before you can do any further testing.

Thank you for your reply. So I recharged the battery and found the way to get to the diagnostic mode. So after trying to crank it, the screen gave me a P0373 which is supposed to be the crank position sensor. So I just bought another one and replaced it, but it didn't work still. So I got another code which is Pn32152-076. Thank you in advance
