Good catch, I didn't even see that!

I kinda like the look, if I was going to add bags I'd go this route.
Are they quick detach bags?
But it does kinda kill the look of the Iron.

I was kind of worried how the top flap would open..Since someone else mentioned this on a review with these saddlebags on another sportster. The flaps kind of pull up and away....Without interfering too much with the turn signals. There is room under the rear turn signals to pull the flaps up...without touching. I took a couple of pics to show what I mean. I guess the pics do no justice for what I am trying to explain. So far...It seems easy enough to operate. Will see how it works when I get the liners.

These bags are hard mounted, but I am able to unscrew from the inside. The bags do come with a cheap lock at the buckle. If you decide to throw them over, Saddlemen provides locks for the zippers. The leather strap would not fit over the rear fender without touching the side mounts of the sissy bar. In the attached pictures, they reverse the bolts to fit both the sissy bar and bags to hard mount. You can get the quick detach kit for $80+.

These things make for decent baby baggers.
