hi im new here, was looking at doing a bigger back tire on my 07 nightster. was hoping for something around the 180 to 200 range in size, any info links or direction would be appreciated. also what size rim would you think the stock swing arm could hold given i switch to a chain drive.
thanks

I've seena 180 tire on a nightster with little change. you would need to convert it to chain drive. personally i'm running a 160 and love it! it fills the fender out alot more and didn't require alot of change
im going with new rims from dna the fat spokes so i just need to know what the options are so i can purchase the right size rim for the rear usually 180 tires fit 5.5 inch rims and 190 200 tires fit the 6 inch rim
The LAW had a 250 rear on his bike and I want to say he had the BROS kit. There are a few sportys on here that have a 17" Duce wheel with a 180 rear tire.

Before you do anything, take a little time using Search on this Sportster forum, as suggested, to find earlier posts. Every time subjects like this come up there is something new, but other things get left in the past, so don't rely only on this post to get all the info you need. DNA may also be able to give you advice, so ask them too.
