Default SEIIs question

I just received a set of SEIIs in the mail. They have around 600 or so miles on them, barely used, but i noticed on the one pipe a dent that looks like it is perfectly recessed into the pipe. is this dent supposed to be there? im just curious, because it doesnt seem right to me.

Could you post a pic? I think I'd be kinda hard to determine otherwise.

It is right. It is on the rear pipe. It should be there. Look at the stock mufflers, it has the dent as well. Not sure why? I love the SEII, they are the perfect amount of sound, big jump in power over 4,000 rpm. I am sad HD does not make them anymore. I think many new HD owners would still like them for the 07 if they were still made.

as a follow-up... my buddy has a set of SEII slash cuts and they also have the "dent" in the rear exhaust. basically it is there due to the amount of movement the pipe can make while riding. this way it wont hit the rear axel bolt. as soon as i wash the bike and its finally nice outside here in PA ill take some pictures of it.

and if you have the chance to buy a set of SEIIs, jump at the chance. like wbogley said, they have enough power, and produce one hell of a great sound. nothing too loud and obnoxious, but enough for others to say.... yeah... thats a harley.

As for myself, I have that dent as well.
And the sound, they sounded good when i received. I installed the Big City Thunder baffles and they sound so much better. a good deeper sound, like a big ole harley
