My wife wants to ride on the back of my Nightster once in a while. I like the solo setup but it looks like I will need to get a 2 up seat to put on when she wants to ride. I will still be using the solo set up most of the time so I do not want to scratch the fender up. Anyone use or know of a seat that will not mare the fender? Is it even possible, it did not take long for the fender under the solo to get pretty beat up.

I have one (possibly for sale soon) that does not mess the fender up. It has a plastic grommet that prevents bolt to paint contact.

 

Definitely use nylon washers under the metal tab mounting tab between the fender and the mount. Also I have a piece of wetsuit neoprene that i lay on the fender before placing the seat. Another option is that nonslip gripper material you place under rugs..to prevent them from slipping .Just cut a piece the shape and size of the seat.H
