Fat bob versus sportster

At 110, yes, the BT has some left. By 115, you're done. There just isn't anything left. I've maxed them both, and at 115 the Sportster was still pulling strong, and the FXD (2007, 96", FI, six speed) was completely done. At the top end, it's all about horsepower. The Sportster runs into redline before running out of power, the BT runs out of power before redline. The Sportster runs hard up to 125, and hits redline there.

Sporty
Agree 100% I got a 2020 FatBob 114 I am terribly upset with the power compared to my 48 Sportster & I'm in the process of getting my sportster back🤷♂️ My bob I had to 118 multiple times but I rode it hard as I could breaking it in and at 550miles on the bob. My 48 will bury the 120 still love the power and getting it back

Not impressive in 6th
I know the FatBob has a rev restrictor why it cuts out mine would run 118, but my sporster will run 90 in 3rd my fat bob would only be about 72 changing into 3rd. My sporty puts the fat bob in the dirt by about 4 bike lengths and that's before 100

So I assume the one's saying the Sportster 1200 will leave the Fat Bob in the dust are speaking of the twin cam motors?
I had 2 1200's, 2012 48 first then the 16' Roadster. I traded my Roadster for my 18 Fat Bob 114 because after riding it, I felt it was essentially a bit bigger Roadster with considerably more get up and go despite the heavier weight.
It leans just as well as the Roadster and handles much better. My Roadster would not have left my Fat Bob in the dust that's for sure.

You are 100% correct,
Even my FXBB Street Bob feels like a Sportster, handling is way better on the new Softail platform. In my opinion with the new Street Bob a Sportster is near the end of his lifetime
if the price was a bit closer together.

+1. Which would you rather ride across the country on the interstate in a straight line? Which would you rather ride through the mountain twisties with a giant smile on your face? Yeah, Buick or Camaro? No contest. The SPORTster or the FAT BOB. Hmmmm, the names speak for themselves.
