Default My wife's early anniversary present!

I haven't owned a Sportster in a few years, at least not these new fangled rubber mounted jobs, anybody got any advice noted improvements she can do it aside from pipes (those will be put on next week) and she's s squid so she's not ready for the 1200 yet as far as I'm concerned! Any suggestions would be appreciated!:-)

My only suggestion some taller bars...not apes but some thing to reduce the reach, she is leaning way forward.

Yeah I'll ask her about it and see if she would like a more upright position, she's been riding with me for 4 years (since we got together) and have 16" Ape hangers with a 4 1/2" set of pull back risers.

Your 48 is bad *** by the way!

Thank You Sir....Have her look at some bars, Biltwell makes a nice set of 8" rise bars called chumps tilted right they I feel would be perfect.

You can go cheaper with risers...... 4" (2 up, 2 back). With 4" risers you may not have to mess with the wiring other than digging up some slack here and there. Its the same with the cables.

Now mind you I have only and will only own ridged mounts, and they all were able to pull up 4"......anything higher than that you gotta add wire and change cables.

OK, that's a good start I'm sure, truly it's not in any need of cosmetics, it's probably the prettiest black Harley they've ever put together and she doesn't want to change much but I'm thinking ergonomics, I think that's what she really needs.

Also another question: How much $hit will we have to remove, relocate and so forth to hang some saddlebags?

You shoud be able to use willie max compact slants without moving anything. They can be used as throw overs so they would work on solo seat
