Thumbs up Xr1200?

Just posting a question here to inquire if anyone knows if the XR1200 is using
the same dimensioned narrowglide front end as other sportsters and pre 06 Dynas?

I saw a HD windscreen available for the XR1200 but could not find any cross refrence for it
for any other bikes. And was curious if it would work on my narrowglide front end Dyna?

Thanks
Carl

What year bike was the one you saw for and what type of screen was it?
I know when I was searching for mine, some specificaly said it was for an XR only.

The windscreen/shield is in the 2012 Accessory catalog and was for XR1200
It was the new short wind screen/shield(mini) I think 11" or 13" height
I do not know if it had a particular year refrence. But if the front end is the same dimensioned narrow glide then it should work? Does the XR1200 run 39mm tubes?

Thanks
Carl

Guess you're talking about this one:

http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/g...bmLocale=en_US

Not much info on it, other than it's made specifically for XR's. If we could get some measurements, then it'd let you know if you could mod it or not. But as is, I would guess it wouldn't work.

The XR1200 has a 43MM "inverted" fork according to http://www.motorcycle.com/manufactur...iew-87709.html

Thats the screen. If forks are 43mm with out a bunch of tweaking it will not fit.
probably not worth the effort
Thanks again

Being "inverted" suggest that the lower forks will be 43MM, the uppers will be much larger.
