Yeah, it was all in a Burly Box. The extension wires for the running lights were a different gauge but the end you pull out of the plugs are the same as whats on the extension wires. The problem is the the other connector end of the extension wire is not compatible with the end you pull out from the oem. It looks like the wire extensions they gave me are meant to be cut and spliced together on your own. Did your wires just snap together?

Sorry I didn't read this earlier. They should real easily slide into each other as long as you have them with the both correct side up. Mine slid together very easily. So easily they don't really stay together very well w/out solder or heat shrink. You should have absolutely NO problem mating them together. there are 6 wires(blue & black ONLY wires in a separate bag) that are for turn signals. I didn't mess w/them @ all so IDK if they are a different size. I hope you get it figured out. Keep posting any problems/questions in this thread & I'll follow it & help w/anything I can. Good luck!

Yet another reason I'm glad I simply soldered the extensions in. You never listen.....

I just recently installed 14" chrome narrow apes on my bike and had no problems connecting all the wiring using the Burly kit. The connections are not super tight but that gets taken care of once you use the shrink wrap they give you in the kit. If you're still having troubles let me know.

I ran into the same problem with my Burly kit, or at least i gave it a good 30 seconds of thoughts and I should have looked further....

Anyways, soldered everything right away.....that's what should be done anyways IMO.

I ended up using soldering the wire end and shrink wrapping them. Everything is wired and works except my horn. The horn is wire correctly but not working. There's no specific fuse for the horn so no dice there. I never use it but not having it work is gonna bug me until I fix it. Also the plug for my left hand control, to include my horn, 4 connectors inside the plug broke. Something must not have been lined up right. I cut that plug and did a direct splice and everything works....well except the horn. Anyway, I learned why I'm not an electronic engineer.
You were right Schwingding....you were right.

Mybe the wire is pinched under the control? Are you 100% sure it worked right before you did this?

Okay, this is nuts. I'm riding down the freeway and I hit the horn button out of curiosity, and the horn was working again. Weird but what the hell...
