What are the suggested service mileages for Harleys beyond the 5000?
I just bought a used Iron w/ 11000 on it and about 9 months of the warranty left on it, and I am not sure if it has had a recent check up. I had it in for an oil change last week and they didn't say anything beyond that. I also don't have an owner's manual yet, still scoping eBay for that since the local HD dealer wants nearly $70 for one.

I've never taken any bike that I have ever owned to the dealership for regular maintenance. Most of the stuff that they're doing can be done with a good set of wrenches, sockets and screwdrivers and a good service manual.
The owner's manual for my '01 lists all of the service points for each of the various inspections. I suspect that the service manual will tell you and show you in great detail how to perform each of these items and what the appropriate settings and measures should be.
The first couple of times doing such things is the toughest and r takes the longest. After that you will know all of the shortcuts and likely pitfalls. Subsequent servicings will take significantly less time and leave alot more money in your pocket.
Even if there's stuff on the list that you aren't comfortable doing, do the stuff that you are comfortable with and let the stealership do the remainder. Even if you can only do the oil change, that should bring down the cost at the stealership by $20. That's almost two tanks of gas on a 3.3 gal tank.

Spend that money on a manual and some tools / parts and do it yourself. I'm always finding something that needs loc-tite and re-torque and I've already been through every single bolt on the damn thing and now at 4,500 mi. I've literally wrenched as much as I've ridden it. Most recently I found that my coil relo bracket and upper stabilizer mount plate bolts were loose. The worst one was the bottom, rear stabilizer where it screws into the motor through that thick spacer...caught that one just in time.
good sense to do it yourself! If you can turn a wrench, you can do it.
