Hi all, I have a question about getting my 2015 slim serviced. I thought I needed to get a 500 mile service done so I contacted the dealer near my house and they told me that I do not get a service done until I hit 1000 miles on my bike. I was wondering is this true. Thanks
We all get excited that we got the new bike!
Its riding time!
But now that the excitement is over make sure they gave you your "book" (owners manal) which has all that info in it...go over it. Its got some good info even for the veteran rider. Then, if your the mechanical type, get the service manual.
+1 on the service and parts manual...There's a lot of stuff in their that you can do yourself and even if you're not he mechanical type, you can know what needs to be done and hold them accountable to the service manual protocols.
Some people like to replace stuff just cause you're there already. That gets expensive fast.

no, it's a lie. they even printed it in your owner's manual like that just to mess you up.....
Some people like to change the oil at 500 miles. I don't think it's necessary, and neither does MOCO. There are even people who change the oil 2 or 3 times before its 1000 mile scheduled service... whatever helps you sleep better at night!
