Default 48- how big of a rider is too big?

I have a Streetglide currently and I'm looking for something smaller to zip around town. I really like the looks of the 48 but not sure if I will look like Grape Ape on it. I really dont care about comfort because it will just be used as a bar hopper. Big guys around 6'01" and 250-260# that ride sportsters let me know your opinions.

Get forward controls, I'm about to order them. I thought i would be ok with the mid controls but they are getting real old real quick.

Go to the dealer and sit on one. IF you like it, get it, if you feel like it is too big, then look for another bike. There is no right answer to your question.

Agreed but take a friend with you and not your Wife. A friend will give you an honest opinion. Just take a look at guys around 6 feet riding sportsters and try to be unbiased. Love the look of the 48 but in my opinion people over 5'8 need a bigger frame. Check out a Softail Slim, great ride for a big boy with the 48 look.
