Default Rake

Lehman Trikes suggests a 3 to 4 degree raked triple tree for easier handling on my trike. I was just wondering how noticable that amount of rake would make as far as looks go. I've read a lot about the negatives of a raked triple tree but Lehman made the trike kit and they don't even sell a tree for Sportsters. The tech I talked to on the phone was just nice enough to make some suggestions to me on aftermarket parts that would improve the ride and handling. I'm having trouble even finding a 3-4 degree tree for it. Any ideas?

When you use that type of tree you can see the angle difference between the yoke and the tubes, but really not that bad.... and I would venture to say most would not even notice it...

This just my opinion, but I think more of a rake (more than 3 or 4 degrees) would make the trike look even better... but no doubt it would cost you more though...

Good luck...

I had another thought on this topic also.
When you increase the rake you may have to increase the fork tube length or the bottom of the frame at the front of the engine will be lower. It will make the bike sit with a downward tilt towards the front tire. Not much but it may be noticeable.
Like I say it was just another thought.
