I feel your pain. Nothing like riding a mountain road and realizing your rear tire is covered with primary fluid.... Look forward to the pics

Ok so my "lets fix my bike" evening turned into rebuilding wheel cylinders on my jeep and getting pissed off so the pics.... Are shitty but I can snag some when there is light if that will help.

As far as location
Stand on the right side of the bike
Locate the starter
Now look just to the rear of the starter to see a wire (speed sensor) then right next to it is a rubber hose coming out

And now for shitty pics (follow the dirty finger)

Um... Follow the pen.. Hard to see in the dark and find your spot but you can also see the sensor

Yea it's dark here now so give me 10 hours when it's am and I will try and shoot a better pic

Mind you mine is routed WAY ***** wrong it is supposed to be routed up and zip tied to your battery tray apparently. But since mine is routed wrong... Primary fluid is EVERYWHERE. Sucks

In the last picture, your finger is on the transmission vent tube. You can see the hose clamp where it connects to the fitting coming from the transmission. If that is the hose that is leaking, that's what we are talking about. It's supposed to run upwards and vent under the seat, I believe. It may not be routed properly.

OK, so I talked with a guy I know who is very big into Sportsters (been wrenching on bikes for almost 20 years, one of the few people I know who still knows how to work on everything from flatheads to Twin Cams)

Told him the problem. Said he is almost 100% sure it is a blown crank seal. Seal is broke, cracked etc, causing crankcase pressure to go into the primary and cause the fluid to be pushed out the breather, clutch cable, etc. Said it is a fairly common problem with newer model sportsters.

Screw it, I will give it a try and let you know how it goes
